Swedish Folk Art Bulb Vase with Purple and Mustard Yellow Glaze by Maggie Wibom for Bo Fajans, 1930
Bulb-shaped vase featuring a semi-transparent glaze adorned with minuscule purple and blue pigment particles. Adorned with charming folk art motifs in purple/burgundy red and mustard yellow, depicting leaves and horizontal bands. The purple color, in particular, exhibits a bubbly texture, adding a dynamic touch to the design.
Inspired by Swedish folk art, this piece embodies the essence of arts and crafts tradition. Deeply stamped with "Sweden Bo Gefle" and painted with "Bo 4207/OB" and "MW" for Maggie Wibom. The model number "4207" signifies the design, while "OB" represents the glaze, with "O" for mustard yellow and "B" for purple.
The vase is featured in the 1930s catalog from "Bobergs Fajansfabtik". See pictures.
