Nils "Björnjägarn" Rundgren was a Swedish outside artist. He spent many years of his life on the road and later he stayed in Hjulsjö in Bergslagen area of Sweden.
Nils "Björnjägarn" Rundgren was self-taught and painted recurring motifs like the Abyssinian cow, chimney sweeps, and locomotives. The figures are always shown in profile like ancient Egyptian pictures. The color scheme of his paintings is often reddish brown, gray-green and sometimes dark blue. This painting being black/brown is quite unique. Nils "Björnjägarn" Rundgren got attention from media and the art world in 1969 when some of his paintings were exhibited at Liljevalchs art museum in Stockholm.
